Conditionals In Present Tense

If Clause in Present Tense

Case I - If + simple present future:

This is the case in which the verb in the if clause is in the Present tense and the verb in the main clause is in the Simple future. e.g.

(a) If it rains, he will not come in time.

(b) If he runs fast, he will reach in time.

Case II - If + present+ may/ might:

In this case instead of  If+ present future, we may have If + present+ may/ might (possibility). e.g.

(a) If the fog gets thicker, the plane may be late.
